Tipper Crushes Father Of 30 Children To Death In Kogi (Graphic)  The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, said a father of 30 children was killed when a tipper rammed his motorcycle in Lokoja, Kogi State. Corps Commander Stephen Dawulung, Kogi FRSC Sector Commander, made this known to NAN in Lokoja on Monday, August 1. The Man, Abdulsalam Ibrahim, a 60-year old commercial motorcyclist and his passenger were crushed to death by the tipper truck at Ganaja Junction in Lokoja. "The incident was tragic and very unfortunate,” he said. He regretted that the accident cut short the life of the bread-winner of 30 children. "The Accident was a case of hit and run because by the time we responded to the distress call to the area immediately it happened, the driver and the tipper were nowhere to be found. Man who stabbed a student to death for rejecting his marriage proposal to be hanged on live TV in Egypt A judge has ruled that a man who stabbed a student to death when she turned down his marriage proposal should be hanged on LIVE TV in Egypt. Mohamed Adel, 21, was found guilty of murdering his Mansoura University classmate Naira Ashraf when she turned him down, with the court sentencing him to death on July 6. The court has now called for his execution to be broadcast live to deter similar crimes from happening in the future.   In its letter to Parliament, the court wrote: 'The broadcast, even if only part of the start of proceedings, could achieve the goal of deterrence, which was not achieved by broadcasting the sentencing itself.' Woman plunges 100ft to her death from mountain in front of husband A woman has fallen 100ft to her death from a mountain in Italy where she was hiking with her husband. The 56-year-old British hiker and her husband had been hiking on the Santner via Ferrata (iron path) in the Dolomites in northern Italy when she suddenly lost her balance. The accident occurred shortly before 2pm local time, when they were around three-quarters of the way to the Santner refuge on the Catinaccio, in South Tyrol. The via Ferrata is a mountainous path of fixed ropes, ladders and rungs as an aid to crossing otherwise tricky and steep rocky terrain. Her body was recovered by an emergency helicopter. According to environmental sustainability charity WRAP, up to 70 per cent of the UK's waste clothes from retail and donation are sent abroad, with only the United States exporting more worldwide. 8 School Children Drown In A River In China While Trying To Rescue Each Other  Chinese state media say 8 children have drowned after one fell into a river and others jumped in to help. The deaths happened in Chongqing city in southwestern China. The children were described as elementary school age. State media said the children went to play at the river on Sunday and the bodies were recovered by Monday morning. No further details were immediately available.
