It has now become a normal thing in our higher institution for lecturers to be having an affair with students. Most lecturers usually pushed students to the point where they had no other choice than to do the will of the lecturer.

You will see some lecturers having s3xual int3rcourse with a lady who is as young as their last born. They suppose to have a little bit of shame but most of them don' t think with their head and they allow their urge for s3x to take a whole of them. In one of the Nigerian universities, when a lecturer discovered a pretty lady in his class, he would deliberately fail that lady causing such a lady to seek his assistance. Most of these lecturers don' t even think of how their wives will feel if they found out they are having a s3xual int3rcourse with their students.

Many universities have intensified their efforts to put an end to s3x for a grade that has gone rampant in a Nigerian university. One of the Nigerian universities has ordered that all male lecturers in the university should not be allowed to teach a course alone, adding that they should be assisted to ensure check and balance.

Another Nigerian university has also banned lecturers and students from meeting outside the school campus or after the end of the lecture. Any lecturer caught interacting with students after the end of the lecture or outside the school campus would be sanctioned.

In this article, we will look into a tragic incident where a student was bathed with acid for having an affair with a lecturer.

On the 5th of May 2011, a 100 level female student of Federal University of Technology, Yola, Adamawa state identified as Ogbu Franca have been bathed with acid by her lecturer' s wife for having an affair with her husband.

How It All Started

It was gathered that the 22- year- old female student was in a s3xual relationship with the lecturer of the Chemistry Department in the institution identified as Mr. Abubakar Kabir Haruna which the lecturer' s wife heard about then later send thugs to pour acid on Franca.

However, the police have apprehended some other students wrongly over the incident.

According to a final year student of Chemical Engineering in the same university identified as Franz Ehizogie Enkoom with the matriculation number EC/05/1234 told Crime Vanguard that the six expelled students arrested over the crime know nothing about it, adding that it was the wife of Mr. Haruna who hired thugs to pour acid on the young lady.

The Real Truth Hidden By The School Authority

While speaking with Crime Guard, Franz said, " The school authority has been economical with the truth over circumstances that surround the matter. The six students expelled didn' t commit the crime, it was the lecturer' s wife that hired thugs to perpetrate the act after she heard that Franca is having a s3xual relationship with her husband. The said lecturer is a very close relative to the VC of the University.


" This made the school authority bury the incident by pinning it on the head of the six expelled students. I don' t know any Nelson or Nkere Bright Chibuzor, it was all planned by the school authority. They indicted me for a crime that I know nothing about. The only connection I have with the deceased was because I am a friend to her elder sister, Florence. They posted my pictures and name on the school website that I am also among the hoodlums who committed the offense.


How Franz Was Arrested In The School Campus

Franz said, " On the 7th of May 2010, the news about a lady that was bathed with acid has gone viral in the school premises.

" I never knew at first that the victim is Florence' s sister. I paid one of my friends who had a little injury a visit the following day. I can see a crowd gathering in front of Federal Medical Center, Yola. It was at that period a pastor told me that the victim is Florence' s sister. However, I felt very bad and sorry.


" On the 11th of May 2010, I was on my way to my department for a lecture when I was suddenly accosted by the school security men informed me that the Chief Security Officer needs my attention immediately. I quickly followed him. "

What Happened After The Arrest

Franz continued, " Immediately we got there, they asked me some questions which I answered then they told me to write down my statement. I revealed in the statement that I don' t have any hand in the acid bath.


" They locked me up in jail and transferred me to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yola, the following day, 12th of May 2010.

" When I got to the SCID, IPO Nashiru ordered me to put down my statement. They kept me inside the prison without access to medication, water, food, or any form of communication.

The Extreme Torture

" They began to intimidate and torture me on Thursday, 13th of May 2010. They took me to their computer room while I was in cuffs after being assaulted with a machete by one of the personnel, Mr. Alex Imbang who is in charge of anti- robbery, and the surveillance officer, Mr. Black on together with two other police officers whose name are yet to be disclosed.


" In the process where they were beating me with the machete, the machete broke and they quickly purchased a new one and continued to torture me with it. They drilled holes in my private part, it gets to a point, I began to have an asthma attack. "

The Choices Given To Franz That Can Stop The Torture

Franz said, " They gave me a choice that could make the torture stop. They told me it' s either I sign the statement which they wrote or I lost my life due to the torture. So, I had no other choice but to sign the statement without reading what they wrote. The scar is still as fresh on my skin like it just happened yesterday.

Franz Freed From Police Custody

Franz said, " I was locked up in prison for 2 weeks which they later released me on the 14th of May 2010. However, Bassey Eddie and Nkere Bright were being charged to court.


The Real Truth Of The Matter

Franz revealed that the crime was committed by the lecturer' s wife after she heard that Franca is sleeping with her husband. This got her very furious as she organized thugs to bathe Franca with acid.

He also said that the lecturer in question is untouchable in the higher institution because he is like a relative to the Vice- Chancellor of the university. That' s why they framed innocent students for the crime so that they would eventually bury it. They all know the truth including the police, Florence and Franca.

Heartbreaking Damages Suffered By Franz

According to Franz who revealed that even though Franca needs help due to the injuries sustained from the acid bath, he also suffered very big damage. He stated that he has only two months remaining for him to graduate. He added that his six years of struggling in school went down the drain for a crime he didn' t commit.


In his words, he said, " I don' t have any carryover in my result and I am just 2 months to graduate from the university. I am now back to the cyber cafe, applying for JAMB again and searching for admission in another higher institution while my mates have begun their youth service.


" I am ready to fight this matter with all my strength and ensure that justice is served when am financially buoyant. I will charge the police to court for the torture and trauma they made me suffer.
