From LAGOS To ANAMBRA - Female Kidnapper Caught With A Child She Was Going To Sell For N150,000($360.4)

A woman identified as Chijioke Akuba was arrested in Anambra with a toddler she abducted from Lagos.

The woman was questioned by locals and she admitted to stealing and selling children.

When asked how many she has sold before, she claimed she has only sold one — her biological child.

She also disclosed that she has an accomplice and her share from the sale of the child would have been N150,000.

After she was interrogated, she was handed over to the police who launched a search for her parents.

She was identified as 3-year-old Fatima Idowu by her parents.

According to her mother, Rashidat, she was abducted on Tuesday, March 1.

She was abducted from the Agege Oke-Oba area in Lagos while her family was attending a naming ceremony

Fatima was in her mother's care at the time of the incident and since it was her brother's event, she had to join other relatives in serving food.

She left Fatima with other kids playing inside the compound while she went to serve the guests seated outside.

After she was done serving the guests in the evening, Rashidat discovered her daughter was no longer with other kids.

She called the child's father Idowu Kamir to ask if he left with their daughter, but he said he didnt.
