"I Cannot Do Without S*x Daily"- 10- Year- Old Girl Says

A 10- year- old girl who has been s*xually abused since she was a child was reported to have made a shocking confession about how she cannot function without having s*x with men on a daily basis.

It was also reported that the 10- year- old girl, whose identity was withheld from the general public, narrated how an elderly man, who was their next- door neighbor at their house, which is located at Mile 12 in Lagos State, lured and r@ped her when she was seven years old, and how she has been unable to resist the urge to have s*x on a daily basis since then.

According to KANYIDAILY, it was said that the 10- year old girl, who is also a primary school student, confessed that if she did not see any man to have s*x with in her area, she would go to a popular underbridge at Mile 12 in Lagos State and beg for s*x from the touts and street boys.

The Outcomes Of A Police Investigation

From the investigation conducted by the police detectives of the Lagos State Command of the Nigerian Police Force, it was discovered that the young girl, who hails from Enugu State, lives with her aunt in Lagos State after the death of her father.

She has been s*xually assaulted for a very long time by an elderly man and has become addicted to such an act. It was also discovered that her aunt paid deaf ears to her predicament when she got the courage to talk to her about it.

Her case has been referred to a non- government agency (NGO), Community Health Support and Empowerment Initiative (COHSAEI), which has taken up the challenge of rehabilitating her due to the seriousness of her case.

Confessional Statement Of The Victim

The young girl said she was r@ped by a man called Baba, who is their next- door neighbor in the same compound as her aunt. She said the man usually called her to his apartment whenever his wife and her aunt were not around and would always insert his finger into her private parts.

She said that with time, Baba proceeded to have real s*x with her and when the man that initiated her into it moved out of their compound, she resorted to meeting other men within their area without her aunt' s awareness. She also said she has become addicted to s*x and can not live without it.

In her words,

She narrated, " Baba will always tell me to come back home immediately after our school is dismissed, and when I reach home, he will be waiting for me to finger my vagina and have s*x with me. "

It got to the extent that I got addicted to having s*x. And whenever I want s*x and I do not see anybody to do it with in my area, I will go under the bridge and beg the touts who reside there for s*x, " she added.

The young girl' s predicament was discovered when she confessed to her teacher what she was going through after the teacher noticed some abnormal behaviour in her. The teacher called the attention of her aunt, who contacted an NGO for assistance.

Mrs. Priscilla Ingbia, The Coordinator Of A Non- governmental Organization, Reacted To The Incident

The programme coordinator of the non- governmental agency (NGO), Mrs. Priscilla Ingbia, who examined the young girl after she narrated her ordeal, stated that her case was so pathetic due to the fact that she was still an underaged girl who was still in primary school.

Mrs. Priscilla Ingbia further stated that the non- governmental agency (NGO) has taken up the challenge of rehabilitating the young girl because it was clear that if nothing was done with immediate effect, her future would be jeopardized.

She added that her organisation has started the process of rehabilitating the victim by carrying out a series of tests on her so as to ascertain her health conditions and whether she is free from s*xually transmitted infections (STI) or s*xually transmitted diseases (STD).

Mrs. Priscilla Ingbia also stressed the urgent need to relocate the young child from her present environment and start a new life for her, but the organization has not been able to do so for her because of a lack of financial support and funds.
